Sanlucar de Barrameda

The history of the town of Sanlucar de Barrameda (crossroads of cultures and American trade old port) is wide and ranges from the first tartesos until today where we can see the historical references scattered throughout the city. Palaces, noble houses, defensive constructions and historic gardens are mixed with stale wineries where the sweet aroma of chamomile deprende.

The most famous local wine is the Manzanilla, own product of the city. The bodegas of Sanlucar de Barrameda are high and airy, underpinned by slender pillars that give it its characteristic appearance.

In the summer besides being able to enjoy the beaches of Cadiz, on the beach of Sanlucar de Barrameda horse races that the International Tourist Interest since 1997, are the oldest currently held by Spain and one of the oldest equestrian activities in Europe.
